Make 2nds Count Patient Trial Advocate (PTA) Service
The PTA service is here to help secondary breast cancer patients potentially find a clinical trial and to support them through the clinical trial process.

Finding the right information about available clinical trials and understanding the associated complex information is a challenge for all secondary breast cancer patients.

The PTA is ran by senior research nurses with experience in secondary breast cancer and clinical trials.

If you are a patient living in the UK with metastatic breast cancer and interested in seeking advice about a clinical trial, please complete the referral form on the PTA section of the M2C website and book a slot to speak with a member of the team.

Richmond's Hope

richmondshope.org.uk

Richmond’s Hope provides support for children and young people aged 4-18 years who have been bereaved. The charity provides a safe space for children to work through their grief both verbally and non verbally, to preserve memories of the person who died, to explore their feelings, to be given coping strategies and to understand the impact the bereavement has had on their lives.
As each child’s grief is different, we provide individual programmes of care for each child. Our dedicated team of bereavement workers support children on a one to one basis.
We are also passionate about educating individuals and groups about the language surrounding grief and offer training and interest visits. The training we offer to external organisations aims to raise awareness of young people’s grief and how it affects their lives.

The Beach Wheelchair Project

beachwheelchairs.org

Beach Wheelchairs is a Scottish Charity that believes that everyone has the right to enjoy our beautiful beaches.

Each site has a range of beach wheelchairs and equipment

All of the wheelchairs have been specially designed to enable individuals with disabilities to get back on the beach. Unlike a standard manual wheelchair, they have large, rubber wheels which move easily over the sand. We hire out beach wheelchairs free of charge from each of our seaside locations using local volunteers.
