Make 2nds Count Announces Kerry Ellis As Its New Patron
Kerry Ellis, who has fast become recognised as the leading lady of West End musicals from her starring roles in London and on Broadway, has lent her support to Edinburgh based charity Make 2nds Count by becoming its official patron.
In the four short months since Make 2nds Count was launched, the charity has already raised in the region of £40,000, and has big plans to continue to add to that total, including a black tie Gala Ball to be held at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh on 9 March 2019.
A chance meeting between Kerry and Lisa at this year’s Proms at Glamis Castle, where Make 2nds Count were one of the supported charities, led to Kerry’s desire to become more heavily involved with the charity.
“After meeting the incredible Lisa at this year’s Glamis Proms and hearing her story, I was blown away by her infectious positivity and passion for life,” said Kerry. “I was instantly drawn to her and wanted to help. I’m honoured to be a patron of Make 2nds Count and will do all I can to support the charity, help raise funds for vital research and help raise awareness.”
Lisa agrees: “We could not be more delighted in having Kerry on board as a patron of Make 2nds Count. Not only is she one of this country’s most renowned musical artists, but she also has an incredible desire to want to help in the fight against incurable secondary breast cancer. It is a real honour to us that she has agreed to lend her name to support our cause .”
