New Funding for Secondary Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Advocacy awarded by Breast Cancer Now

We are delighted to announce a £20,000 grant to support our information and support service dedicated to secondary breast cancer clinical trials, the Patient Trials Advocate service, awarded by Breast Cancer Now. Secondary (metastatic) breast cancer is breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.

Make 2nds Count statement

Make 2nds Count and its Board of Trustees have been made aware of the negative representation of the charity on social media by Lisa Fleming, following the action requested by Lisa and Euan Fleming to remove any references to their connection to Make 2nds Count as a result of their personal decision to step away from the charity last year. We understand these have been difficult decisions on their part, and Lisa and Euan’s role as founders will always be part of the charity’s history.

Meet Our Ambassadors: Mandy

When/How were you first diagnosed? In March 2021, I found a lump in my breast and went to my local GP – I was fast tracked as they thought it looked suspicious, within 10 days I had a breast clinic appointment at my local hospital, where I had a mammogram, ultrasound and 9 biopsies.
