SBC & Me

How does secondary breast cancer affect your life?

Slows me down, tiredness more often than not, really have to plan days out trips around treatment times.

What advice would you give to someone newly diagnosed?

Don’t Google, trust your team, talk to your friends and family to help them understand you better

SBC & My Treatment:

How are you coping?

Ok, tiredness still, stiffness creeping in, have good and bad days

Do the side effects affect your life daily? If yes, please explain

Can’t keep up with friends on outings, tasks like house work and gardening fall more on my husband more than in my past

Have you found a routine that works for your everyday life? If yes, please explain

Yes, need nap, drinking more water and regular meal times helps

Do you feel anything is missed when it comes to living with secondary breast cancer? Medically or Socially

Socially evenings out, friends bit more distant, missed some days out because of treatment

Have you treated yourself to anything since your diagnosis? If yes, please explain

Yes a patio in corner of my garden with new loungers on my little reading area in the shade

Has it changed your perspective on life? If yes, please explain

Yes, I'm more chilled out
