We work in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to offer income maximisation advice, casework and representation to anyone affected by cancer in Lochaber. Our Macmillan Benefits Adviser will establish your eligibility for, and advise you accordingly on, a wide range of benefits. It is important to remember that your circumstances may change more than once during your treatment so it is beneficial to get advice in advance so that you know what to expect and can plan accordingly. This applies to those who work as well as those who are employed and those who aren’t employed or have had to give up work due to ill-health. Advice, assistance and representation for anyone affected by cancer on many issues including benefits, employment, housing, debt, holiday insurance and community care issues. The service is based at Raigmore Hospital and offers support throughout the area served by Raigmore. Advice and support is available over the telephone; ward or hospital appointments or home visits can be arranged.
